Ivan Curtean

Ivan Curtean's musical journey began in the town of Ocnița, Republic of Moldova, where he discovered the enchanting melody of the cimbalom at the age of twelve. Despite initial doubts about pursuing a career in music, Ivan's determination led him to embrace his passion wholeheartedly. Guided by mentor Valeriu Luță, Ivan excelled in competitions and earned scholarships that supported his studies at the prestigious Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music. As the first Moldovan citizen accepted into the academy, Ivan further honed his skills under renowned mentors. Recognized for his talent, Ivan collaborated with orchestras and ensembles, premiering works by esteemed composers like Alexander Timofeev. His dedication to music culminated in the pursuit of doctoral studies, solidifying his commitment to musical excellence. Today, Ivan continues to captivate audiences across Europe with his mesmerizing performances, leaving a lasting impression on listeners with the magic of his music.
