Engineering and innovative solutions to all kinds of problems was always really appealing to me. That's why I have started studying Engineering. I am really self-conscious and care greatly for the work that I do. Improving my skills and gaining knowledge is also one of my top priorities.
As a product support engineer I have to work on "two fronts" mostly. First my job is to make sure that production goes smoothly. I have to determine the material standards and standard times during production. If it needs some fine tuning than that is also my job. I have to create BOM lists and process plans. Providing dxf drawings and 3D models is also my job. I have to design small devices, or for example welding templates on a weekly basis.
On the other "front" I have to work closely with business development. Making quotations determining the manufacturability of future products is the first step. If a product does not fit our profile I have to investigate what kind of investments could help us win the projects. On meetings I have to provide information about these options and whether they worth it or not.
Sometimes I have to communicate with our customers regarding production, lead times or quotations.
Váradi Metal is a company that works with many big names around Europe. Their main profile is sheet metal. That is where I have started my first steps towards Engineering jobs. They have lead me through the entire production from laser cutting all the way to powder painting. Then I have started working with quotations and calculations. I had to make calculations based on technical drawings and 3D models.
Here I have only made price proposals for our team leader and he determined the final prices of the products.
Later I had to program CNC machines and had to start supporting the production aswell while also making quotations.
I was a mechanic at the Spa in the local Medical Center. My main job was to measure and control water conditions. Also as a mechanic I had to make sure that the water pumps and basically the whole system of the Spa works properly.
I had to leave my job because the Spa had to be closed permanently.
Making sure that the products meet the quality expectations. These inspections were made on Uniformity and Dynamic Balance machines. After testing the tires we also had to sort them into different grades according to the test results.
