• Advised the company as a part-time Legal Counsel between 2019 and 2021 on topics related to my PhD dissertation, and joined full time as Legal Counsel in July 2022.
• Researched and provided counsel on European Open Banking laws and regulations including Payment Services Directive (PSD2), and the relevant European Banking Authority guidelines. Performed detailed legal analysis on the different national transpositions of PSD2 regulations and EBA guidelines.
• Researched and provided counsel on applicable General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) provisions and best practices, drafted data protection policies covering both Customer and Employee data, and drafted Data Protection Impact Assessment guidelines.
• Researched and provided counsel on different international intellectual property law frameworks to identify IP protection scenarios, especially in relation to the company’s copyrights, trade secrets and patentability of its solutions.
• Researched the increasing adoption trends of Open Banking regulations internationally, and the notable differences from the European laws and regulations
• Worked on a short-term project to improve the quality of the English language legal and business process documents, prepared excel sheets and invoices in English to help the company in their international sales and invoicing efforts.
