Máté Tollner

Kolorádó is a boutique festival in the outskirts of Budapest with a capacity for 6000 pax. Working with a small team (except for the month of the festival) I have insight into almost every work area and gained valuable experience managing the organization on a daily basis. For this reason, my responsibilities are exciting and challenging, whether it is consultation with the local mayor, making sponsor deals, booking of international artists, agreements with our local ticketing partners, ordering mobile or container toilets, or creating an international marketing strategy.

LavaLava Budapest is a DJ / promoter / music producer crew and a fresh digital record label. This has been my side project for 16+ years now in parallel with my official workplaces. During this time, I gained a great deal of experience and made many connections in the industry, which benefitted my official workplaces as well. I've had the privilege of working with over 60+ agents and booking more than 200 international artists, DJs, producers to Hungary, with whom I maintain excellent personal relationships. A few years ago, we founded our own record label, through which we release our residents own music. This venture has been an excellent springboard for learning the fundamentals of digital music publishing. Our plan for this year is to elevate our label to the same professional level as our consistently sold-out events.

Akvárium Klub is one of the largest event venues in Hungary at the club level. In addition to booking international acts, I was also responsible for local electronic music bookings and had taken an active part in the production side of the events. My biggest achievement here was organizing the first Boiler Room Budapest. I am also proud of my Fatboy Slim and Seth Troxler club show bookings.

I was able to gain insight into the operation of the Sziget group. Parallel to my job as program manager of the Akvárium Klub, I led the Balaton Sound Boat Parties project, which was starting at the time.

I gained hands-on experience in the day-to-day operation and management of a club, my main duties were to book current, popular international acts for the club.

After gaining experience for 6+ years with my own LavaLava Budapest project, this position was my professional entry into the music industry, where I have gained valuable knowledge about working in a team and organizing events.
