Application for the scholarship programme of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES)
I volunteer in the Pest county self-government in the coordination of Roma issues, within the Programme of the Upcoming Settlements (Felzárkózó Települések Program). I help with the administration of supervision sessions, help with food distribution on the spot, and give art classes for children.
The Presence Programme (Jelenlét Program) was created to help people on the margins of society. As a volunteer, I support the work of the social workers involved in the programme. Sometimes I help them with transport, sometimes I help them with food distribution, sometimes I help them with the intervention of social services.
I taught at Urban Verbunk Elementary School of Arts, in the Kálló section of the school, where I taught a folk dance class for the most disadvantaged school children.
During the Covid I had online classes at the University so that time I have been volunteering with the Sure Start Children's House Programme (Biztos Kezdet Gyerekház) in Karancsság. It is a preventive programme that helps to children from different backgrounds as early as possible in their lives. In the programme, I used folk games, folk songs, dance and folk tales to help children to express themselves, to recognise their emotions and thus hope to provide them with tools to incorporate into their coping strategies to deal with stressors in their environment.
During my high school years, two short socio-geographical, socio-natural, sociographic and sociological study of villages studies were published in 2016 and 2018 in the Acta Regionis Rurum volumes of the Szent István University Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences.
