I've worked on lots of different, mostly frontend related problems, I love to solve "too hard", "not enough resources", "no time" problems with creative solutions and generally love to code. The business environment and knowledge may change, but the problems, solutions and the people involved require a similar open minded approach.
I love to collaborate with colleagues and I am happy if I have a direct line of communication to the stake holders and customers.
At first, I've worked on a cloud-based project (with over 20 million customers) which was meant to connect the company's main product (Canvas) with different SISs (Student Information Systems, like Neptun in Hungary) and sync data between them.
I've worked with Node.js and AWS products, like EC2, Redis, etc.
After 8 months, I got the opportunity to switch to a completely frontend-focused project, called Instructure UI (InstUI), an open-source React-based component library. The project was brought to Hungary from the US, and I was the de facto lead while the team was forming. Later, I didn't apply to the lead position, but continued working on the product ever since.
I managed the full release pipeline and built large parts of it. At first with Jenkins, but later migrated to GitHub Actions.
I have extensive experience with managing npm releases, deploying to Netlify, Vercel, and GitHub Pages, and building automation with GitHub Actions.
I've taken part in the migration of the entire codebase to TypeScript, implemented the complete theming solution of the library, and generally built and maintained many high-quality, fully accessible components.
The whole process involved coordination between multiple teams, often from the US. Teams, such as the design team, Accessibility team, and the core product's (Canvas) team.
I was working on internal projects, mostly in React. I was building UIs for mobile applications. Followed designs from the UX team and cooperated with stakeholders to ship the desired product.
The company was selling windows. I was the only developer there.
I was tasked with building a quote generator web app to improve productivity of the team.
The tech stack was Angular (1) with a PHP backend.
The product was finished after a year and was a great success, effectively boosting company sales by 33% right from the start (due to vastly sped up quote generation, one employee could almost triple their throughput).
