Trung Doan Minh

I was successfully selected being a communication intern at People and Nature Reconciliation, an active non-profit organization in Vietnam. My main responsibilities were:

• Translating and designing English-to-Vietnamese articles aiming to environmental awareness, fighting for illegal wildlife trade around mountainous areas in Vietnam
• Collaborating with local people living near forest to reduce deforestation rate by training presentations
• Creating a social media platform (Spotify) to share and spread environmentally current knowledge to people (+4000 reach and listen)

I worked as a volunteer is based on the IUCN Sea Turtle Conservation Volunteer Program in partnership with Vietnam's National Park

• Supporting forest rangers to complete missions: protect nesting beaches of turtle, move more than thousands of eggs to incubation facilities, release new born turtles into the sea, and remove beach debris.
• Boosting social media after the program to raising public awareness, knowledge about marine life conservation, waste situation as a whole

I did volunteer to conduct many quantitative investigations in my local area for Vietnamese non-governmental organization leading the fight against illegal wildlife trade, trafficking, and consumption.

• Collaborating actively with ENV to process and solve many cases: turtle, tortoise, wildcat confiscations
• Helping facilitate datas from illegal trading information and directly contact with ENV and local authority related.

I got promoted by the founder to work and dedicate to The Rainbow Class, a trusted non-profit organization in Vietnam aiming to facilitate and empower to underprivileged Vietnamese children via education. My responsibilities were:

• Contacting and immediately reaching children who lacking of education or drop out of because of financial problems, victims of domestic abuse or family budget instability
• Compiled and monitored data for volunteers applications, and interview process
• Launching wholesome events for children in class about environmental, gender equality topics often expected more than 100 students joined
• Being as a guidance for children to confidently step into career market by sharing opportunities and facilitating soft skills.

I was selected one of the 100 participants of more than 1000 applicants all around Southeast Asia in the competitive fully-funded program launched by the U.S. government to strengthen partnerships with emerging leaders in Southeast Asia. In that program, I learned by:

• Discussing and making speech about Mekong Delta situations with international and local environmental experts to find out the best solutions
• Be trained about communication skills, how to raising voice as younger leaders
• Connecting with many Southeast Asian friends to collaborate and carry out campaigns and events after the program
